Paul's Taxi working arrangements from 20 July 2020:
In light of UK Government guidelines, I will be making the following changes to my business. Subject to a few exceptions, I will be offering a near full service, however;
No passengers will be allowed in the front seat unless there is a MEDICAL NEED. In this circumstance BOTH THE DRIVER AND FRONT PASSENGER MUST WEAR A FACE COVERING (This may mean that I refuse journeys for parties of 4)
As there is now a screen fitted between the driver and rear passengers and until such time it is mandated, I will not insist on the wearing of a face covering, UNLESS THE JOURNEY IS LONGER THAN 15 MINUTES, IN WHICH CASE ALL PASSENGERS AND DRIVER MUST WEAR A FACE COVERING
To assist with the UK Government's 'Test and Trace' Scheme, I will make a note of the name and contact details of all lead passengers
The contact points will continue to be cleaned after every trip
Hand sanitiser will be available for all passengers
Whilst accepting cash, my preferred form of payment will be contactless card
I have not hidden the fact that UK Government Schemes have allowed me to #StayAtHome and therefore volunteer my services to help others.
However, as we move into our 'new normal' this funding may well not continue, so I will be amending my pricing structure. With the exception of those journeys listed below, I will not be offering any discounts on journeys. All other journeys will be charged at the full metre fare at the appropriate tariff.
I will continue to carry carers and key workers to and from work free of charge (subject to the above restrictions)
I will continue to collect prescriptions free of charge
I will continue to carry passengers to and from doctors and hospital appointments free of charge (subject to the above restrictions)
I will continue to make myself available to the Melksham Community Group
As further changes come into place, I will reflect, and adjust my services and pricing accordingly.
Thank you for your continued support
